Personal information we collect online
How personal information is shared
We may provide customers with promotional announcements relating to mortgage products or services. Example, touch-points relative to your type of mortgage loan for refinance offers, or a birthday message. These announcements can be stopped at any time by selecting the opt-out feature at the bottom of the e-mail. We do not sell these e-mail lists to any of our business partners/affiliates for any reason.
Third party vendors we engage to provide services on our behalf, such as web hosting, website development, and support, may have access to personal information, but they have agreed, under contract, not to disclose any personal information or to use it for any purpose other than providing the requested services to us.
Sierra Pacific Mortgage Company, Inc. may also disclose account information in special cases when we believe in good faith that the law requires us to do so.
Cookies we use do not contain or capture unencrypted personal information, such as social security numbers, account passwords or credit card information. Such information about your individual identity are only provided because you have chosen to provide it to us.
Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Site, and your relationship with us. We use the information to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, to personalize/customize your experience while visiting our Site, and to recognize your device to allow your use of our online products and services. This information is most easily tracked with cookies.
We collect statistical information utilizing Google Analytics, which collects your non-personal information. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). This non-personal information generated by the cookie about your use of our Site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers located in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our Site, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. This non-personal information is aggregated among other users. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using this Site, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
The information gathered through Google Analytics helps us to continually improve the design and functionality, to monitor responses to our advertisements and content, to understand how visitors use the website and to assist us with resolving questions regarding our Site. Many improvements and updates to our Site are based on such data as total number of visitors and pages viewed.
We do not currently take any action with respect to a browser’s “do-not track” signals. If a website visitor enters our website, or clicks on one of our advertisements on a third party website, a cookie may be planted on the visitor’s browser for future targeted ads. The cookie does not keep a history of which websites visited, but will recognize if the visitor visits a website in the Google Ad Network. If the visitor does visit a website on the Google Ad Network then the user may be targeted for an advertisement. If a visitor to a website enters data into a web-form and submits the data, the information could be paired with the IP address of the computer the visitor is using. Any such received signals would only be shared internally, if applicable. IP addresses are only shared with Google, whom we use for our online ad campaigns.
Industry standards regarding how to handle “Do Not Track” requests from web browsers are still evolving and there is currently no set of industry standards for handling such requests. As such, we may not separately respond to or take any action with respect to a “do not track” configuration set in your internet browser.
If you have any questions regarding our internet tracking methods please contact us.
You may interact with us in a variety of ways. We may permit browsing and not require the inputting of any personal information. We may also offer the ability to learn more about or apply for our loan products.
